An AI shopping concierge is a storefront assistant that helps a shopper find a product by asking what they want, then recommending items from that store's catalog.
The shopper does not need the product name. They can describe an occasion, a budget, a size, a material, or a job the product has to do. The concierge answers with items from the catalog of the store they are already on. A useful answer includes the price and the stock that store is selling now, so the recommendation is something the shopper can buy.
Concierge is a job description. It is one kind of AI shopping assistant. The name points at the shop-floor task: help someone choose. A support chatbot answers questions about orders, shipping, and policies. A search app matches the words in a box to tags and filters, then returns a results page. A concierge stays in the conversation and skips the keyword.
On Shopify, a concierge is usually a separate app. The category does not promise a feature list. Some apps add a product to the cart from the chat. Some only recommend. Some also answer from help-center pages. Read the vendor's own page, and the Shopify App Store listing, for the actions and the price. A label is not a spec.

What Vorena charges
Vorena uses flat monthly plans with a conversation allowance. It is not unlimited. Only Lite ($29 a month, 100 products and 50 conversations) and Starter ($99 a month, 250 products and 500 conversations) can be bought today. A conversation counts toward the allowance when it starts, and the allowance resets monthly. At the limit, the Vorena chat is hidden from the store until the allowance resets next month or the plan is upgraded. Chats already under way can finish. Nothing on Lite or Starter charges for extra conversations. Growth and Scale are coming soon. Plan changes go through Shopify. The pricing page lists both plans.
